New UFC 148 Poster

UFC 148 is just days away and Chael Sonnen is stirring things up again. He posted on his Twitter background a new UFC 148 poster with a few changes to it. Take a look at it.

Recently Sonnen compared his opponent Anderson Silva to Mike Tyson.

“They told us for years when I was growing up that Mike Tyson was the best in the world,” Sonnen said. “The truth was he wasn’t even the best in the country. He never made a world or Olympic team and he could never beat Evander Holyfield who lived two states over. They just kept him away from him and lied to the entire planet and told them he was the best when he wasn’t. It’s a lot like that with Anderson. I’ve been telling him for six years I’m the best but he’s got to hold onto the championship. They kept putting obstacles in front of me and I kept having to go through them. That’s just the way it goes. I’m not complaining about that but that’s been my path to him and he ducked and dodged as best he could but he’s narrowed down now.”

Silva shook things up when he lashed out at Sonnen. It was the first time we have seen anyone get in Anderson Silva’s head.

“I’m going to make sure every one of his teeth are broken, his arms are broken, his legs are broken,” Silva told reporters on the UFC 148 conference call. “He’s not going to be able to walk out of the Octagon by himself.”

Sonnen responded back quickly to Silva’s threats.

“It was nice to see the real Anderson come through. The guy is a dirtbag, as I’ve told you for years,”

“A couple things he didn’t say he was gonna do, starting with beating me, starting with breaking my spirit and leaving with a victory, because he’s not,” Sonnen said. “I think he was one-off from saying like, ‘I’m gonna’ give you a knuckle sandwich’ and I’m kind of sitting there going, ‘Well, duh, we’re in the middle of a cage fight, dummy.’

Georges St. Pierre also chimed in on Chael Sonnen getting into Anderson Silva’s head.

“He wants to get into Anderson Silva’s head and he did it. That’s what he wants, because when you fight with emotion, you don’t fight smart. The crowd, they love it. [Silva] he’s going to go crazy but he can make a mistake if you do that. It’s a big mistake. You have to go back to the reason he’s a champion. And the reason he’s a champion is because he fights smart, he’s skilled. More skilled than the other guys… He brings the fight where he is the best. He doesn’t go crazy. That’s what Chael Sonnen wants from him”

I’ve been waiting for this rematch for awhile now. Saturday can’t come soon enough.
